Re: Wheel Studs
Well folks job done but my advice is don't do it if a stud breaks. The stud is knocked loose easy enough with a couple of taps with a club hammer as per getting one out of my S type bearing kit. Sell the car, unless you have a 36mm socket and a 2 ton hub puller handy to actually remove the old stud ...

Re: Windscreen washers
I"ve really thought about this and two and two make a very convenient solution, namely this car has been serviced by a Main Dealer since purchased under a maintenance agreement and this year was the end of that arrangement. Nothing has ever in all that time has caused any concern. Suddenly this has ...

Re: Wheel Studs
Well the new stud came and its too short, went back on-line (e-bay) and delved deeper into the site page and it turns out this is not suitable for the XF. Went on to Jaguar Auto Reserve site and ordered a secondhand stud from an XF.Then remembered I had a hud bearing kit still in the garage from my ...

Wheel Studs
I was about to renew the rear brakes and the first thing obviously is jack the car up and remove the wheel. Had a bit of a job initially getting the parking brake off. I had gone on to You Tube to see about making sure the parking brake was off but critical procedures were mostly not gone in to and ...

Re: Windscreen washers
Hello Folks Haven't been on for a while but my problem is solved. I decided to get a replacement pump before having a look myself cost £17.43p from an alternative supplier as against you know who's price of mega bucks. No fuse failures even if I could find one so I thought if it was driven as an adj...

Windscreen washers
My windscreen washers have suddenly stopped working. The tank is full but no joy. Can't find a fuse associated with it so what's the problem. Help would be appreciated.

Re: Diesel question?
Just for your information stop start motoring with a diesel is not recommended, once the Emission alert comes up you are into upwards of a £1000.00p bill to clear it before your MOT, its an automatic fail if its there at MOT time. This applies to all cars.

Re: DRIVER DOOR MODULE
The Driver"s Door Module needs to be programmed to the car at a vast cost at a Jaguar Dealer so you really need to know whether it is really required. The car is to be, realistic, scrap value only. From one who has suffered the same trauma.

Re: Can nobody keep to their side of the road these days?!
Hello Folks I see reference in the comments about German cars BMW's in particular about turn indicators, you all do realize that turn indicators or trafficators as we know, are extras on all these cars. They come as standard, unusually , on BMW Minis , only because most of those on the road currentl...

Re: After market tyre pressure sensors
Hello Folks
Yes worth all the reassurance they give, Tyre-pal have been reliable for me on both my Jags and Caravan whilst towing. Easy to fit in place of the valve dust covers and set up.

Re: Can nobody keep to their side of the road these days?!
Hello Folks Have you seen how many cars are driving around with broken and damaged offside wing and doors mirrors currently. I live in the Chiltern Hills and thus narrow lanes and its an endemic disease around here. At around £700 a time to replace on a modern Jaguar, it's no wonder and not surprisi...

Hello Folks Just a quickie, the S Type has now gone, ASM took it last Wednesday to the scrap heap in Thame. sad time altogether but putting it back on the road would have cost twice the value of the car. I'm looking around for a replacement now for it and the XF now, probably not a Jaguar Land Rover...
