Passenger window activation problem.
The passenger window on my 2000 XKR has aways being a bit slow, both up and down and in the cold can get really lazy. Still slow, it has now developed a new additional problem, it operates in increments going either up or down, this occurs both when opening the door, or when selecting the window to ...

Are you 100% certain that the hub is the cause of the clicking? The reason I ask, my 20" Detroit alloys are 'clicking' as you describe. I haven't yet confidently located the cause of the sound.. could be hub, could be loose stone or metal inside the alloy, or another suggestion, perhaps the split ri...

XKR/8 Rear Wheel Hubs.
I have a 2000 MY XKR with the 20" wheels, my off side rear wheel hub is clicking, subsequent inspection has uncovered that the hubs shaft has worn around the mating face with the bearing with consequent movement. I have located a second hand, but perfect, replacement item from a wrecked low mileage ...

MPG for an XKR
I have a 2000 MY XKR with 49k on the clock, which is returning about 14-15 MPG around town and 21-22 MPG on a motorway when driving at a steady 70, is this typical? My friend who owns a 2001 XJR gets 20 and 28 MPG in the same regimes, which makes mine seam heavy on the juice! I drive my car smothly ...

Booster Seat for my 5 year old Son
I have a 47K, 2000MY XKR with the original pattern seats, presently we use a full car seat for my 5 year old Son, Peter, to ride in. However, this is rather awkward in the rear of the XK and robs him of several inches of leg room. The fact is that the cars own seat fits him perfectly, but the proble...
