Windscreen hell resolved, there is a way!!!
I posted last month to inform the community that there is a serious issue with early facelift windscreens. The supply chain shows there is stock scattered around however they are all wrong, they are in fact series 3 screen and they are larger and don’t fit. I spend weeks on this subject and couldn’t...

Re: Windscreen hell! HELP!
Hi Paul, so the HE screen goes in with rubber. From 91-93 they bonded them in and there are 2 screen sizes, one for the coupe and one for the convertible, the convertible is slightly taller. At some point in 93 they changed the sizes, both the convertible and couple are the same size but the convert...

Windscreen hell! HELP!
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this thread however I thought I would share some information and plead for some help at the same time. My 1991 Xjs facelift windscreen was delaminated and I found the correct screen (or so I thought) to replace it. On removal it turns out the new one is ...

Re: Window finisher on facelift 1991 coupe
Interesting. I asked chatGTP the dimensional differences between the coupe and convertible screens, the below response is interesting. From what I can see the convertible is bigger and that part is a lot easier to find, so should be easy for a screen fitter to cut and join to size. I think this coul...

Re: Window finisher on facelift 1991 coupe
Understood, hopefully it’s the same profile just different sizes. I plan to reuse the one that’s in however if it snaps we might be able to repair it.

Window finisher on facelift 1991 coupe
Does anyone know the difference between the following parts? Windscreen rubber part number BEC9535. BEC6599. I was searching for 9535 but can’t get one however managed to grab 6599, hopefully it will work if needed.

Re: New Product - XJS Swallows Racing/AVO Coilovers
Just bought these and fitting the front next week before we drop the rear. Went for the lowered spring on advice from Swallows bring standard height is actually too high compared to 30 year old springs and ride height sag over time. Hopefully all will be well however as they are adjustable we should...

Re: Tyres
Thanks Paul very much appreciated. I could only see budget tyres with low speed rating and load. Something to ponder. Longstone have called me and said p600s 235/60 r15 will be available in March so a decision to be made as they want over £400/tyre

Re: Tyres
Hi Jim, why 16”? From what I can tell by extensive searches the 16” are no better re availability. I have access to a set of 16” and was getting ready to pull the trigger on them thinking that I would have access to quality tyres however for the life of me I can’t seem to see anything, hence the pos...

Any advice? Wheel change? If so 16” and what’s the tyre size on these? They seem to be as rare as the tyres

I read that originally they were on 205s though. With the absence of 235s what to do?

Hi all Sold my interceptor in October and bought a 1991 V12 XJS in December Reg J808 HSN. Starting to make my way around things however I have Perelli P600s 235/60 R15’s on it and they need to be changed pronto. What’s everyone using? It looks like a replacement is thin on the ground. Most are stati...
