Hi.
If the filter didn't cure your problem...
...when I had a similar problem it turned out to be very gloopy fluid at the bottom of the reservoir. It's a pain to get to behind the wheel arch liner but once it had been flushed out and filled with fresh washer fluid everything was fine.

Re: B Post Rattle
Before I managed to get around to removing the B post trims, I discovered that the centre of the tray under the floor had broken free from one of its plastic clips! This was banging on the bottom of the car and, together with various stones and other debris, was showing up as a rattle from the botto...

Re: B Post Rattle
Thanks - I'll be careful. Given the forecast strong winds and rain in my neck of the woods over the next few days, it may be a little while before I get around to looking at it!

Re: B Post Rattle
Thanks Mike.
Do the tread plates just pull out and are there any easily broken clips to be aware of?
Cheers Dave

B Post Rattle
Help! An annoying rattle has developed at the bottom of my 2017 Portfolio n/s B post. It does it nearly all the time without much variation due to speed, road surface, cornering, etc. I expect it'll be obvious what the problem is once the cover is off, but can anyone tell me how to remove the bottom...

Battery charging
Hi Please can anyone tell me where I need to connect my CTEK battery conditioner to keep the battery from going flat with lots of short, lockdown journeys? The handbook says the battery should be removed for charging but I don't fancy resetting everything that entails and anyway the handbook says it...

Re: Space Saver Spare Wheel
Thanks Mike. I'd certainly feel happier with a "proper" spare, especially as it's running on Dunlop Sport Maxx at the moment - maybe I should get 4!!!!

Space Saver Spare Wheel
I've just acquired a nearly 3 year old Diesel XE Portfolio AWD in Ammonite Grey. As seems to be the case with most cars these days the "solution" for a puncture seems to be a can of sealant - not much use if you have a blow out or sidewall damage! I'd like to get a space saver spare but would prefer...

Re: ABS Light
I'm delighted to report that, following a not very quick trip down my drive (about 20 metres!!) to see that the brakes worked at least a bit, the light went out! Clearly I didn't get up to anything like 20 km/h so I wasn't expecting anything to happen. Thanks to you all for your help - it's good to ...

Re: ABS Light
Thanks for your suggestions. I'll check the wiring again but think it's probably ok - if I disconnect the wheel sensors I get a DSC error which goes away when they're reconnected, but the ABS light still remains. As the car is currently SORNed I will have to wait a while before I can try the driving...

ABS Light
I've just changed the front brake discs, calipers and flexible brake hoses. Bled the brakes and everything looked fine - until I started the car! The ABS light stays on with no other warning/messages - there were no problems before starting the work. Is there something I should be doing to bleed the...

Re: External boot release not working
Update. So, it seems that there is a voltage coming off the SLCM but not as much as I was expecting! Further dismantling with a view to wiring the external release into the Body Processing Module revealed a broken wire in thew loom from the boot to the boot lid! The problem seems to be that with the...

Re: External boot release not working
The switch and wiring check out ok but there's no voltage coming off the SLCM. Looks like I'll have to live with opening it from the inside - like the early models!! I just hope this isn't the start of the SLCM failing altogether - even "pre-owned" ones look quite expensive. Or just possibly I could...

External boot release not working
Any ideas?? My 2004 convertible external boot/trunk release button has stopped working. The key still unlocks the boot and the internal button still works. I've checked out the wiring and all seems OK. I see from the wiring diagram that the external release is wired direct to the Security & Locking ...
