They have two small lamps in the back of them . I removed mine when i done a full blue LED conversion on the dash etc. If you open this unit up take great care not to loose the springs inside . I think i opened my units upside down so the buttons and springs do not fall out.

Hi , no they do not do this now but other supplier say they have replacement but they are not the same value and read high on the gage. The replacement often has a black top and i think it needs to be a red top. The only models are the xjs facelift that use this part.

Hi , i am looking for a tempe guage sender unit (transmitter) for a 94 6.0l XJS but the AJ16 engine in the later facelift 4.0l XJS is the same part Number. The genuine part has a red plastic cap and a single spade conector .

Fault solved by cleaning main bus bar rail in engine bay and removing 4 pin plug in ignition switch cable. Volt meter now reads 14v for the first time since i have had the car.
