thanks to all the members who tried to help with my 1986 3.6 problem !
Turns out the problem was not electrical after all, in fact the valve clearances were down to about 6mil when they should have been 13/14. the valve seats had worn down. One set of shims and she runs like a dream.
thanks again

weird flooding intermitant problem
thanks, but we tried a working aav, the problem remained. I can only hope that the electric specialist finds the fault. The jag specialist says that he has never seen this problem before and is stumped. Soon,I will try making sacrifices to the aztec jaguar god.

weird flooding intermitant problem
hi, the fuel, vacuum, tests all come out ok. the specialists have replaced every part from a running engine and nothing makes any diference. their theory is that I have a wiring problem which causes the intermittant fault. will be handing her over to a specialist electrical company to have the entir...

low tickover and lumpy when starts

However when starting from cold the engine is very lumpy at first, and ticks over at about 1k revs. Once wa...

central locking on boot + retrofit
hi, this is my first post as a new member. I have a 86 twr 3.6, I have had an aftermarket alarm/central locking/keyfob kit fitted. However as the original central locking did not include the boot, this obviously does not lock/unlock the boot. Can anyone advise me how easy/difficult/impossible it wou...
