Jaguar XE EGR Cooler Filter Blockage. Fault Code P049B
The engine light on my 2.0D Prestige 101K miles) illuminated earlier this week so with some trepidation I plugged in my Foxwell Scanner with JLR software into the OBI 2 port to see what was causing it. Code P049B/$07E8 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation "B" Flow Insufficient Detected, was displayed. I dele...

I’ve not looked at that module.
Maybe you should start with a new post specifically for it. Opening the module up and add photos to help.

Repairs to Jaguar XJS Facelift Headlight Logic Module - DAC6902
When putting my XJS back into my garage I realised there was a fault with the headlights. The dipped beam had gone very dull, so I switched to the main beam and I found this to be OK. As both dipped beam lights were faulty, I focused my fault finding on the Head Light Logic Module. one.jpg Some year...

Re: XJS 1993 Electric cooling fan
Hi Baz, I came on here looking for the same answer. Anyway I have now consulted Volume 2 of the XJS Service Manual. This is what it says; "The fan is thermostatically controlled and in very hot conditions it can operate after the engine is switched off. The fan will automatically switch off when the...

Re: Transmission Mount Springs 4.0 Auto
I purchased the longer spring CBC4745 as this looks the weaker of the two springs but was disappointed to find it was ever so slightly shorter than the original one I had taken out. My friend gave me the springs from his low mileage Celebration Convertible that he had recently changed on advice from...

Re: Transmission Mount Springs 4.0 Auto
Yes it’s made of a hard foam material.
I replaced that a few years ago. It’s still in perfect condition.

Transmission Mount Springs 4.0 Auto
On fast acceleration my cooling fan catches on its surround indicating I have a problem with the engine / gearbox mountings that are allowing excess engine lift. I have changed the front engine mounts which were in need of replacement but the problem still remains. The gear box foam buffer has also ...

Re: 4.0 XJS Auto Transmission Filter
I subsequently received a replacement filter JLM664 from the supplier.
Its fitted now and the box is topped up with 5ltrs of Dexron 3 fluid. This is compatible with Dexron 2.
I didn't expect to notice any change but the gear changes do seem a little sharper than previously !

Re: Driver's side top door hinge for a facelift coupe
Yes I have one it is quite worn. I can post it if you want to test the repair.
I got a replacement from a LHD car. It is OK but but not perfect by any means so a refurbed part is a good option.

Re: Air Conditioning Re-Gas
Thank you Mike.
My fingers are crossed. I will check the upper mounting on my car and any further information may be helpful to those of us without warranty.
There will be more and more of us as time goes by.

Air Conditioning Re-Gas
Upon buying my ex lease car XE I started to realise that it had a few niggles that needed attention. One came to light when the weather improved during early May and it became clear the air conditioning was barely functioning. With the dual system set to maximum cooling there was slight cooling of t...

Re: Parking Aid / Sensors not working
Finally I can report back on this. I do try to rectify faults myself but got somewhat side tracked by other faults on this car and my XJS. Searching through other forums for Jaguar XE and Range Rover Evoque which has a similar system. People reported that wiring harnesses were breaking and were repl...
