I have a very metallic sounding grinding or groaning noise on my 420 power steering when tuning at low speed.
Could this be a column bearing or is it likely to be the steering box at fault? Any advice please?

Steering turning circle
I have a 1968 Daimler Sovereign (420) which has a superb turning lock when going left but a very poor on when turning right. I am assuming this is due to incorrect adjustment of the steering box. Am I right? If so, could anyone please tell me how to rectify this fault? Thanks in advance Michael Raine
