Re: 2009 XF Premium Lux - 3K miles ?!?
Amazing mileage, reckon you could get as much as £15k if you can find someone who really wants one, suspect would sell quicker between £10-£12k.

Re: Main Dealer or Independent Garage?
Always well debated this. As a rule of thumb good independent that are passionate about cars is the best. If you have a chat about cars in general and they are interested walk away :) Does not mean they are good, but know they will try. Only exception to rule for me, is if mainstream service will ma...

Re: Rear Screen Wiper
My rear view has a spoiler view so does make much difference anyway. That aside, I think the air flow does clear it fairly quickly I find.

Re: EGR Valve and cooler failures
Sadly, the coolant system on the XF cars seem to be a weak link, like you a 2013 plate with 33k on the clock had a major failure. Lucky enough the extended warranty has cover all the parts and the power steering electronic part that failed at the same time (coolant got in apparently when it went pop...

Re: Help!...buying XK8 or XK
Interesting post, though I would tag on this post rather than create another. Looking at getting an xk8 or xkr but the x100 version, convertible, will only be for weekend and also to hide away as a future classic. Knowing me will end up driving it more than i anticipate, hearing her calling me 'driv...

Stop Start
Morning all, Was surprised to find an eco button in the XFRS, seems to activate stop start! Two questions, firstly stop starting in a v8 a bad thing or not? Seems an odd thing to have, and secondly, does the eco button actually do anything else, assume not but thought i would ask as did in my XE in ...

Re: Warrenty & Recovery coming to an end.
I personally just took out a three year warranty on the XFRS just purchased from the dealer, was 899 but includes full breakdown cover and cover some mot parts like wipers. My thoughts was a 6 year old car that is high performance going to cost a lot if a major part goes bang, but with breakdown cov...
