Hi guys and thanks for your feedback. Many apologies for the delay in replying but I don't drive the car every day and I have been trying to pay more attention to the problem in light of your comments. My recent observations: 1. The yellow abs warning light comes on at start-up then goes out after a...

ABS problem
I have a 1990 3.6 auto coupe - a couple of months ago it went in to Jag independent for rear brake disks, pads and h/brake pads (not much change out of 600 quid !). When I picked it up there was a problem that wasn't there before. When braking, just before coming to a halt, the ABS starts chattering...

What would happen if you used one of these kits to recharge a system without knowing what you already had ? Is ...

Thanks for that, Keith. Confirms what my mechanic said, that the cooler is not really needed and has been correctly disconnected. Panic over for now ! Just got to worry about replacement discs and pads all round, gearbox mounting, several areas of corrosion underneath and something to do with a rear...

Thank you both for your prompt replies. Apologies for the confusion but I did mean gearbox oil cooler - that's why I posted under "Transmission". However, I may have been mislead. The car broke down recently and was trailered home ! The chap pointed out "the oil cooler is disconnected". A local mech...

Oil Cooler
Has anyone had experience of replacement oil cooler for a 1990 3.6 ? Just bought my car recently and found the cooler has been disconnected ! I therefore suspect a leak in the system which will be checked out soon. SNG Barratt price appears to be about £360 + vat but I have found a specialist oil co...
