Hello all you S type owners, ARE WE A FORGOTTEN MARK. I ask, because it's obviously escaped your notice that we don't meet. If you want any proof, look at the event pages of other Jaguar brands. As a example; today 22nd August X type, of for a tour of Anglesey. Our last get together was August 2018....

Re: Diesel fuel
I believe that using the premium desiel ( shell v power) will reduce the well documented problems associated with the DPF Avoiding short journeys will also help as much as using quality fuel. Another benefit of using premium fuel ,is slightly less turbo lag. I admit this is hard to prove or quantify...

Question is, has anyone had experience in replacing the padding under the leather seat. The part is a mould...

Thanks for that ,Brian, just had an inspection in the boot , yes i have the multi disc player , and the jaguar navigation system on top. Pushing back the flap of boot lining above these two units, you can see various groups of wires that all appear to be connected, Ive gently tugged them and nothing...

Re: Failed servo
Hi, thanks Dave for your observations, it all adds background to the subject. Well its all good news as my car is back on the drive with excellent brakes. I also asked the garage (E&E Services) to check on the rear brake pipes as ive read these are prone to corrosion. All good no problems. I have to...

Re: Failed servo
Thanks Mike, that makes sense, the pump would provide constant vacuum when you take your foot of the gas, my braking effect was lost after the initial touch of the brakes. Its a fact you DO need good brakes on a car weighing two and quarter tonne, thanks again, Pete.

My local jaguar specialist ( not a dealership) is replacing the brake servo on my S type 2006 diesel, as they were not stopping the car effectively, he has also found a pump on the braking system to be faulty to.. The replacement of both has turned out to be very expensive. Question is, has anyone i...
