I’m doing various jobs on my 1998 xk8 convertible and one of them is to sort out a non retracting headlight washer. I can’t find anything on utube to help so I’m asking my fellow members if any one has a step by step guide to sort it out. Much appreciated if anyone can help.

The small screen which shows fan speed, temperature setting etc. has totally given up the ghost. How easy is it to replace it or do I have to get a full switch pack.

Thanks, I’ll have to ask the garage next week. I was there when they plugged in the obd2 and it definitely read brake light switch. Thanks for the part number, I thought that was correct but then got twitchy in case there was a non cruise control bit.

My 1997 xk8 4.0 litre comes up with engine failsafe mode. Garage has checked it and advised it’s the brake light switch according to their diagnostic meter. I intend to fit a new one, is there any difference between the switch, my car has cruise control. What part number am I looking for.thanks mike

Hi, thinking of fitting external tyre pressure sensors to my 1998 xk8. I check the pressures regularly but feel Bluetooth type sensors would be a good safety feature.
Anyone got experience of fitting them and any recommendations would be good. Thanks Mike

Just run the car again and put the heater controls to dashboard. Air was coming out of all ‘face ‘ grilles. Noisesy fan decided to be quiet so looks like I’ll have to live with it. It is a convertible after all .

When I first switch on the fan control, I get a noise like the heater fan needs oiling. After about 10 mins the fan seems to go back to normal running. How easy is it to get to the heater fan. Anything on the internet. The car is 1998 xk8 convertible.
