Re: Rubbery steering wheel feel over bumps
Shirish, you never came back with your results - did you find the improvement you were hoping for? Jeremy Hello - no it didn’t fix the rubbery feel, but sharpened responses nicely without introducing NVH. Rubbery feel was sorted with new height sensors all round - I figure the car was running highe...

Re: Minimum current for trickle charger
CTek, Lidl, Maypole, Ring - all seem to make similarly functioning chargers.
Would not surprise me if they originated from the same factory in China.

Re: Suspension not coming up to pressure
Interesting - i was planning on replacing the valve block with a Meissler item as a preventative measure.

Re: Rubbery steering wheel feel over bumps
I’m in the process of getting the bushes fitted by my local and recommended specialist (SSG automotive, ottershaw). Powerflex black in the front lower lateral arm rear Bush. Powerflex purple in the upper wishbones Lemforder lower shock bushes. The banana arms had been replaced earlier this year with...

Re: Rear Suspension Wishbones
Hopefully you’re long sorted, however for info, I’ve just bought bought new lower rear lemforder (oem) arms for my 2006 for £166 inc vat each. Apparently these will come with the Jaguar logos scrubbed off, so effectively the same part that Jaguar will sell you.

Ride height behaviour
As a follow on to my suspension firmness issue (resolved with new NSR RH sensor), i still find occasionally that parking up after a journey, the RH can be noticeably higher than when i started i off. I thought CATS via ASM would change the RH dynamically, and hence, once i had come to a stop, the RH...

Re: Sudden suspension firmness
Forgot to update this.... The issue was the NSR ride height sensor. It was mechanically attached and returning the correct voltage (approx 4.8v), so no error codes were thrown. The team at SSG Automotive (Ottershaw, nr Woking) found that the NSR RH sensor housing was cracked and restricting movement...

Re: X350/8 Air suspension unit replacement option.
Has anyone tried the units from Miessler?
They appear to offer a budget, midrange and the usual Bilstein option

Re: SNG Barratt discount?
I waited 2 weeks without a response, so I called them. They said one of the 3 parts I was looking for was NLA, but they didn’t bother calling me to tell me.
Can’t recommend them on that basis.

Re: SNG Barratt discount?
On genuine parts, I absolutely agree that a Main Dealer is best for price. I usually get 20% from my local dealer, so it's only really OE parts that I might use Barratts or Manners. But it would be nice to find out how to get the fabled JEC discount from SNG! Paul call them up and order over the ph...

Re: SNG Barratt discount?
I reckon you’d get a better discount at a Jag dealer. I only used SNG as they had a part that Jaguar listed as NLA.I've just registered but couldn't see anywhere to add membership of any club? I've also often wondered about the mythical SNG discount for club members?
