Re: Removal of Lucas Distributor - How?
Hi Peter - can I ask what year your car is? I’m confused that your signature says the car is 1990 but you have Lucas ignition. From 1989 onwards the Magnetti Marelli system was fitted.

Re: Front subframe bushes - aftermarket quality?
Thanks Mark - I have already changed the lower arm bushes and will do the top bushes when I get the subframe out. As is normally the case, I can’t get the bolt to move so having it on the floor will mean I can get some serious heat into it and apply enthusiastic percussion! I’m pretty sure it’s the ...

Front subframe bushes - aftermarket quality?
Hi All - I am going to drop the front cross beam on my 2001 XKR. I have a number of clunks and rattles and the front of the car shimmies when going over bumps. I suspect the bushes are shot away. My question is around the quality of aftermarket parts for this. The price of genuine Jaguar parts would...

Hi - thanks for signing up and I look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
We set a soft limit of 50 people for this event which we have reached but both venues are happy with higher numbers so the event is still open - plenty of spaces available yet!
Best wishes
David

Re: Heavy steering when maneuvering
Hi-your picture is the camshaft position sensor for the engine management system and nothing to do with the PAS system.
However, you are right that the PAS pump is engine-driven. It is mounted behind the the sensor slightly to the left of your picture.

Re: Window finisher on facelift 1991 coupe
Hi. BEC6559 is for the early facelift convertible and BEC9535 is the early facelift coupe. I’m afraid I don’t know what the physical differences are but I’m supposing there must be some for Jaguar to go to the trouble and expense of listing 2 different part numbers

Re: Rear radius arm bushing
Hi - for what my opinion is worth I would not replace the bushes with anything other than the standard metalastic. My fear is twofold. First the radius arm must have sufficient give in it. Its movement is compound and not a straightforward radius so it relies on some lateral movement. If the bush is...
