Re: ABS and Engine check light
Thanks for your reply. I was concerned about the engine management light because you would think the two systems were not related. The sensor i have ordered is from Britparts and specifically says 2003 to 2005 so hopefully is the right one. When i checked the one on the car it was open circuit with ...

ABS and Engine check light
Hi, I have a 2003 4.2 XK8. Is it normal for the engine check light to come on just after the ABS light comes on. I do have an ABS problem code c1165 which is RH wheel sensor which i have ordered. My concern is the engine check light which wont go out but only have the one code for the abs. I only ha...

Re: Centre switch panel led's
Hi Armstrong
Found the problem. It was fuse 3 in the engine compartment. It was the alarm sounder that tripped it. Disconnected the alarm sounder, replaced the fuse and now all working again.

Steve

Center switch panel leds and front fogs fixed
Finally after days of searching through circuit diagrams and reading forums i found the problem of the front fog lights not working and none of the center switch panel leds worked It was fuse 3 in the engine compartment fuse box. This appears totaly unrelated to the switch panel but got the advise f...

Re: Centre switch panel led's
Hi Astromorg Thanks very much for your reply. I do have the current electrical drawings. I have checked the ground pins and they look ok. The only thing that does not look right is the open circuit on one of the leds. Normally you should see some resistance across the terminals as can be seen on all...

Re: Front Fogs lights not working controle module with tell tale for fog lights not working
Hi What was the result of your findings? Was it the switch panel? I have exactly the same problem. All buttons work except the front fog lights but none of the led's come on at all. The fog lights work in that if i bridge the relay they come on so the relay is not getting its signal from the button ...

CD Multichanger
Hi, The lead will be there, it is just a case of finding it. Remove the left side boot trim panel and look for a blue coloured lead, it is about 5mm in diameter. The plug on the end of it is usually near the light cluster. If for some reason it is not there, a new lead will be supplied with the cd u...

The register is now fantastic with nearly 500 entries. Because there is so many to scroll through, could I suggest that we split them into engine types i.e 3.6, 4.0, 5.3, 6.0 etc and convertables, cabrio's and coupes?

6.0ltr V12 emissions
Hi Alan, Thanks for your reply. I agree with your specialist and that it won't be the cats on either of our cars. Over the winter I am going to get the injectors sonically cleaned and probably change the lamda sensors. I have also recently found out that if the external air temperature sensor for th...

6.0ltr V12 emissions
HI, Does anyone know what is the most probable cause of high emissons on a V12. My car is a 6.0ltr and only just passed the MOT emissions test as it was on the border mark. Both sides are high with one being on the MOT limit. The engine runs fine although tickover can be a little lumpy sometimes. Th...
