Re: Cannot open the driver's door.
Check OBD2 codes first. Could be a fuse. Otherwise, you'll need to take the inside door panel off (easy job) and check the mechanism hasn't come loose, connectors broken, etc. if the actuator is at fault, then a new/replacement one.

Re: XF mark 2 wind noise
The seals lose their elasticity over time and and small gaps appear. Try the A4 paper strips test with the door closed and check the loose areas. Solution by either adding rubber strips to the seals or inserting small rubber tubing into the existing seals.

Wow. I'd like to hear the story of how those vents were broken.

Re: Restricted performance
Cleaning the MAF sensor is one of the easiest maintenance jobs on an x350. Several sources of help on here and videos on www. Best of luck. Richard

Re: Restricted performance
As Paul said, get the error codes read first. Jag dealer will do it, if you don't have a £35 OBD2 code reader. When they're available, post them here if you can't find the interpretation from the interweb. Richard.

DSP button - Alpine sound system
I've had my new to me 2004 X350 SE for 4 months now and I've only just found the DSP button ....... I thought that the sound system was ok, but not super good considering the sub woofers in the parcel shelf. Switching the DSP to front right transformed the sound for me and I'm enjoying the car...

Re: E10 FUEL USE
I meant energy rating. Butane, one of the constituents of LPG, actually has a lower octane rating of 94. Propane, another constituent, is higher at 112. Anyway, the word 'similar' in my post is relevant in context.

Re: E10 FUEL USE
A similar situation with my old LPG X350. It was 1-2 mpg lower on LPG compared with the 95 ron petrol and less powerful, due to the lower octane rating of the fuel. Richard.
Re: Sat Nav
There's lots of sellers on eBay offering the original or an upgrade to the satnav roads database. I've not upgraded, but will soon. Just ensure your satnav works or there's no errors to start with.

Re: Jaguar Factory Tour
I went on a factory tour at Castle Bromwich when they'd just started producing the aluminium X350. I worked in Water Orton at the time. I was so impressed, I promised myself I'd buy one (eventually), but not new (way out of my price bracket at the time). I now own my second X350. Great motor.

I've tried searching for "Steve Brown" "Jaguar Heritage", but no luck. Do you have his contact details? Richard

Re: Tyre pressures
After a couple of weeks trialing, I've settled on 30F and 32R for normal day to day driving. I haven't contacted anyone else at Jaguar yet, as I think it's just a "printer error". Richard.

Re: Door mirror puddle lamps
Thanks Paul, that's my only option here. The LED bulbs are only £5 each, so it'll be worth a gamble for a minor enhancement. Only issue might be the new glue I've put on the repaired lamp housing.... Richard
