I can lock the car by pressing the fob. But when I press the fob the second time which should fold the wing mirrors, double lock the car and set the alarm only the mirrors fold I have replaced the drivers door lock and drivers door module but after programming it in it has made no difference Suggest...

Thanks Mike I understand that the VSS preceded the CCF as used in the XF and is the master record of the build spec of the vehicle. After more research these vehicles were apparently pre CCF and had a VSS file for vehicle spec

Am I correct in you need to alter this if you retrofit certain accessories like in my case heated rear seats?

X350s were fitted with 2 different rear control modules. 2w9f 13b524 and 5w93 13b524
