Hi Jim - Tend to agree. New tube of glue me thinks.
Kind regards

X150 Glove Box
The push button on my 2006 X150 glove box has broken and I was looking for a fix. Looks to me like might just glue back together but. I note JLR would like to sell me a complete glove box unit for the best part of £400. Alternatively, it would appear the actual piece of plastic moulding is available...

Parking Sensors
I've just done something interesting. Purchased a 2007 2.5 with a genuine 24k on the clock. Further it is an absolutely mint UK example (it's actually my wife's and this will be her 4th over the years, but I quite like them as well). My question. It would appear that the vehicle was not originally e...

X150 Spark Plug Change
I do feel a bit silly here. Embarked on a change of spark plug on my NA X150. Right Bank (Drivers Side) absolutely fine. That said and although I've only had this car two years the NGK Plugs were absolutely perfect. Started on the left side with the one nearest the dip stick, only to find the the bo...

Re: Recommendation for a Starter Power Pack
I don't believe there to be much in the way of 'parasitic drain' on these cars, Vitally important that the main battery is good. I remember leaving mine a couple of months, started on the button. Even my X150 can stand for a month without use and still start first time (every time).

Re: AJ16 intermittent misfire
I was able to obtain a rear manifold for my car from David Manners a few years ago (not cheap). I still have the original which I removed (somewhere in my shed, I think) which as it turned out only has a quite small crack (repairable).

Getting Old - New Driving Licence regulations
Probably off on a tangent with this one. For the best part of 30 years in total I have had parked away in the garage an XJS of some description. Indeed my last variant being a 94 AJ16 I had had, loved and maintained for the best part of 14 years. With the realisation of getting a tad older and lying...

Telephone microphone
Just mildly curious. I've had my X150 for a little over one year. Great car. One question with which I have no answer is where is the microphone for the phone located. Not obvious in my car although the system works perfectly. I would have expected it to be either on the A post pillar or the central...

Re: Touch screen repair
Brilliant. Thanks for that John. Most useful. I once didn't go through with an X150 purchase precisely because the infotainment system had failed.

I'm worried about the future direction
Couldn't just stop worrying about the apparent direction Jaguar is now heading in, at least for me. The current line up going forward is great if you like the SUV varieties, but these are not for me. Given a choice on the JLR SUV front would you say one breed was better looking than the other? Sorry...

Re: Bonnet wont opem
Thanks Dave - Yes all fine thanks. I definitely think it work alerting owners to the possibility of an issue as much easier to fix if the bonnet opens in the first place.
Kind regards

Re: Bonnet wont opem
All fixed. The help of a set of car ramps proved useful. The issue for me causing the problem in the first place was that one of the plastic grommets securing the cable to the catch had failed. This then allowed the cable to detach from the catch and to set in motion the train of events that followe...

Bonnet wont opem
Went to open the bonne,t and the leaver just didn't. After giving much thought, removed the undertray and was able to reach up and release the offending (drivers side UK) bonnet release catch. Re-attached the cable and all seemed well. At lease until I tried again a few days later. Cable had become ...
