Re: C type replica lower wishbone and torsion bar set up.
Design978 There are not very many replica builders using this forum the forum. I have discovered that the most user friendly space for replicas is the The Historic Replica and Specials Register (Jaguar Drivers' Club) Facebook group on Facebook. You do not need to be a member of the JDC to join the g...

Suffolk Meet Mallory Park 22nd August 2021
6 years ago 5 Suffolk SS100 owners managed to sort out our diaries and gathered at Snetterton Race Track for the VSCC meeting. Having missed much of the past 16 months we have decided to gather again at the VSCC meeting Mallory Park next month. The Mallory meeting is always worth attending, the VSCC...

Re: Nostalgia XK120 build
Well done. The glass in my Suffolk is minimal so I am lucky, I did however crack my windscreen and sourced a replacement from Suffolk Sportscars cheaper than I could get one made.

Re: Charging an E-Pace
Thanks Mike I have a CTEK 5 looking after the car now. After leaving the car locked in the garage for 6 weeks it took the charger at least 9 hours to charge the battery to the 80% point. I also charged my SS100 which had been sitting for the same time but had a 10 year old battery. It took 3 hours t...

Thanks Andy
I have not been out and so had not seen this. It is always interesting to see Jaguar Replicas and specials.

Charging an E-Pace
I would have posted this in the electrical section but that is not working. I own an E-Pace which I cannot use for the foreseeable future because of the safeguarding lockdown. I am aware that each time I move the car onto the drive I am discharging the battery and as a result I have ordered a Ctek b...

Suffolk Meet at Cadwell park 20th June 2020
We tried last year but the weather did not play. I have arranged some display tickets for the Cadwell park Vintage Festival these provide free entry into the circuit for a driver and car. Passengers pay the normal entry price of £17. There are details on the SS100 facebook Group. If interested you c...

Over the past few years I have got to know the owner, he is a keen tourist and we regularly meet at the HRCR organised touring assembles.

Re: Suffolk Owners Meet at Snetterton VSCC
Back in 2014 A number of owners met at the Autumn VSCC meeting. Reg Lowe, who has returned to the SS100 fold and I are going to meet up again this year (2019) for the same event which is now called the VSCC Endurance races and would like to invite any other SS100 readers to join us. The date is Satu...

Re: Handbrake pad thickness - outboard brakes
The hand brake shoes should not wear. Apart from the MOT test to check that the handbrake works as an emergency brake it never needs to be used when the wheels are rotating. If you are getting wear then the shoes might be dragging.

Re: Heritage C Type new in Germany
Johannes I hope you get an answer, your car looks very nice. There are a few C Type owners who use this forum, however if you use Facebook you might like to check the JDC Historic Replica and Specials Register group on Facebook. This is an open group and the knowledge of some of the group members is...

I still check this on a weekly basis. Facebook is so easy but I challenge you to find some detail about things we discussed a month ago. This web forum is very good for keeping track of threads

Re: Dummy Hartford damper disks
The 4 1/2 inch name discs from VCSA fit well. I have cleaned up the star springs and after degreasing them will give them a coat of clear polyurethane before fitting them.
