Does fitting 'R' badges to a 3.0 litre invalidate the insurance?

Re: X308 in JEC Monthly Magazine
Excuse me Matron! There's nothing wrong with my handle. I'll look forward to lots of X308 articles from you in the future then? But yes, it's easy to complain and not actually contribute. I'm currently working on an article for the magazine on code readers and subsequent fault-finding. Most people g...

Re: X308 in JEC Monthly Magazine
Wow!
An article pinged to me in around two and a half hours. Next week would have been ok!!
Thanks Andy.
Anyone else have any more magazine copy for us?
Mike
So where has this article gone then? Certainly not in the current issue?

Re: Restricted Performance
Nothing to do with the throttle body I'm afraid, and they don't get replaced FOC any more, so don't get your hopes up! And no pearls of wisdom either, as no one here has the slightest idea of what the problem could be. The only way to proceed is to put a code reader on and see if any fault codes are...

Re: X308 in JEC Monthly Magazine
It does infuriate me that they're rarely much of interest to the X308 owner, and yes, the point about "lumped in to the same magazine section" is well made.
But, there is some truth in the "send in more articles for publication" bit, because they have to come from somewhere.

Hello Scarface, probably the easiest way to bleed the brakes unassisted is a Gunson's Easy Bleed (eezibleed is, I think, their spelling!!), There's a new video on Tool Connection's (owners of the Gunson brand) Facebook site about the Eezibleed: http://www.facebook.com/Tool.Connection#!/Tool.Connect...

Re: "Daimler XJR" - really stupid thing to do?
Interesting discussion. Personally I like the chrome. My ideal would an XJR with the chrome and Daimler interior! Or perhaps a Daimler Super V8 badged as a Jaguar would do. The wheels make a lot of difference. Here's a pic of my Sovereign with 18" wheels fitted: http://www.joc.org.uk/images/wheels5....

Re: Convertible XJ
In one of those bizarre coincidences, someone has asked the same question in the X350 section!
Getting back to the car, it certainly doesn't flatter the new XJ's styling, does it?

Re: Diagnostic and ECU remapping tools
It would be wrong for me to advise which commercial units were not successful at the seminar. I could lay myself open for legal deformation if I were to so do. Hopefully you won't become too deformed if you give us a 'heads-up' on the good, bad and indifferent units. I (for one) would be very inter...

Re: Dash info.
You will have too book it in to a Jaguar dealer for a service!
Seriously, it will need the service message 'reset' by Jaguar software or perhaps something compatible that an independent might have.
Hand-held fault code readers will not reset service warnings / lights. before you ask.
