Re: Diesel Auxiliary heater not working
Hi, I have just come across your discussion regarding the Auxiliary Heater not working and have some ideas for you to try. The Heater is a Webasto unit which if you go onto their web site may be a useful start for you, but initially I would check the following: 1, Climate Control is set to Auto as i...

Re: 2.7 Diesel Turbo Fuel burner
There are several things that will prevent it from firing up, these are those that I can remember: 1, Ensure you have the Climate Control in Auto. 2, Ensure the Low Fuel warning is not lit. 3, Low Battery Volts will also prevent it from firing up. I would also check that there are no blown fuses etc...

Re: S-type Electrical guide.
Jeff Once you have checked the basics I would then look a bit deeper, ie check that fuel is been delivered to the heater, this is fed by a different line than that of the Engine so can easily be overlooked. The Heater can normally be reset by removing the power supply to it. Have a look at www.webas...

Re: S-type Electrical guide.
Fuel Fired Heater (FFH) Lots of interesting points in this topic, checking my notes there are some conditions that will prevent the heater from running and should be checked prior to further fault analysis. 1, The Heater will not run if the Climate Control is turned off 2, The Heater will not run if...

Re: Hot off the lights
It may pay you to have a go in another 2.7 Jag and compare it with yours, because if you do have a problem that needs resolving, clearly a remap won't help you much. Have you checked the Air Filter, this is prone to getting very dirty at quite low mileages. I would also advise seeing if you can arra...

Re: 2.7d Fuel filter
Hi Jef This is simple to do, but to ensure an easy start up once complete it is important that you purge the new Filter of air. I guess you already know where it is located within the Engine bay on the Bukhead passenger side. Take a note of the position of the pipes going to from the Filter and then...

The "Black Boy" is on my patch, I am surprised that you were shunted out into the normal carpark. Was you there last Tuesday evening (2/8/2011) as it was a great turn out which was blessed with the sun shining as well. I was in my Red TR8, but if you wish I am happy to meet up with you and your brot...

Re: New S type owner with a few questions
Hello Iain Congratulations on your purchase of an S Type diesel, I have a 2006 2.7 Sport which is a great car. I would be extremely concerned with any untoward movement within the front Hub/Suspension unit which should be investigated and repaired without delay. The front suspension arrangement is n...

Re: Pansani S-type video
I have to say that I like it, there is certainly a lot going on with the body kit. Some one has worked extremely hard on this who I suspect has clearly got a wild imagination and perhaps too much time on their hands.

Hi Andy I read with interest the problem of you having the "Restricted Performance" appear on your car. I had the same problem about a year ago where it suddenly came on after about a 1/2 mile when starting from cold, on restarting the car it would come back on again shortly after pulling away. My s...

Falcon FK 452 Tyres - 245-40-18
Having just done 25,000 miles the front tyres on my 2006 2.7 Sport were just about done for. Not wishing to continue with the standard fit Pirellis largely due, in my view to excessive road noise. I decided a change was in order, having done some research I have chosen and fitted 2 x new Falken FK 4...

Hello Mike It looks like I can now attend the S type forum next Sunday as I thought I was going to have to spend this weeekend at a sailing event in Plymouth which I now do not need to. Can I book the event and turn up and pay on the day? S type 2.7 Sport Regards Dave newbery dave.newbs@tiscali.co.uk
