Re: Transmission slippage
Thanks Jeff, nice to know i'm not on my own your symptons are exactly like mine. If i use heavier throttle to drive around it i'd soon be going way to fast in a 30mph. Had latest software update so maybe another oil change could be the cure.
Cheers for now.

Transmission slippage
Hi, Recently first thing in the morning when car is stone cold when it changes from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th the revs rise as it changes just as though you are keeping your foot on the throttle while changing up in a manual car. I had the car scanned and code P 0706 came up which shows fault with t...

Re: Dates of Manufacture
If you go on autotrader the latest registered S types for sale are 57 plate which takes them up to end of febuary 2008 at the latest, however on Parkers guide they say they run from 99 to 07 not 08 and the XF was launched march 08.

Re: Bulb failure Monitor, have I got one?
The boot light goes off as soon as you close it, the 40 minute timer switches it off if you leave it open to avoid draining battery the same as it does all interior lights. You can see if the boot light goes out straight away by dropping the seat back forward.

Re: Warranty
Hi, Personally i think a warranty is a bit like gambling, you could hand over the £399, sit back and relax thinking you have no worries should anything go wrong. Should something go wrong you will have to meet all terms and conditions in the small print such as service history etc. Make sure you kno...

Re: Demister Problem.
When the temparature drops below about 3c, the air con compressor will not operate, and so your air con will just work as a heater with no moisture removed from the air. This is to protect the compressor for some reason, but thats as much as i know. Perhaps your pollen filter has moisture in it othe...
