Suspect it will be quite a large job as the control unit would need to be changed for one with the button for the heated windscreen. Really couldn't say a bout the wiring but probably will require that as well.

The message is similar to the one I had recently which was a faulty injector so best to read the code to identify the actual cause.

Have you visually checked if the coolant level is low? There could be another leak somewhere.

I think there was an article in the latest JEC magazine about a similar problem. It was not with the X350 but might give some pointers as to where to look.

So took to Kwik Fit on Saturday and they took the wheel off. Good spot Paul, there was a slight bit of thread damage and some misalignment so the fifth nut would not go on. I was going to try that, but was not able to undo any of the other nuts.

Couldn't shift the other nuts, so on that basis use the socket set to try with the new nut and have got it on some of the way. They are really tight, but I suppose they have to be to perform the required function.

Well yet to test on a decent run but no problems coming back from the garage.

So it turned out to be the thermostat housing and a pipe connecting to it.

Went and collected earlier and so far so good. Of course early days so far and need to give it a good run to be sure.
