Re: Retrospective installation of Heated Windscreen
Suspect it will be quite a large job as the control unit would need to be changed for one with the button for the heated windscreen. Really couldn't say a bout the wiring but probably will require that as well.

Re: Limp home mode - Throttle position sensor
The message is similar to the one I had recently which was a faulty injector so best to read the code to identify the actual cause.

Re: Engine Coolant warning light
Have you visually checked if the coolant level is low? There could be another leak somewhere.

Re: Japanese reimports
I believe I saw some information about Japanese imports in the magazine a while ago. Basically, all the relevant documentation SHOULD have been dealt with by the importer. It is a bit of a minefield if you want to do that yourself. In theory the returning cars are lower mileage and will not have had...

Re: High revs on start up
Hello there,
I think there was an article in the latest JEC magazine about a similar problem. It was not with the X350 but might give some pointers as to where to look.

Re: Replacing Wheel Nut
So took to Kwik Fit on Saturday and they took the wheel off. Good spot Paul, there was a slight bit of thread damage and some misalignment so the fifth nut would not go on. So he managed to clean up the thread and the wheel is now back on and fine. Not worried about the other as they are all new tyr...

Re: Replacing Wheel Nut
Couldn't shift the other nuts, so on that basis use the socket set to try with the new nut and have got it on some of the way. They are really tight, but I suppose they have to be to perform the required function.
Going to try and carry on later

Re: Replacing Wheel Nut
Thanks for the thoughts.
Looks like I will have to remove one of the other nuts to test.

Replacing Wheel Nut
Just a quick query and I may be being overcautious but I am replacing a missing wheel nut and I thought I should be able to put it on by hand initially before then finishing by torquing to the correct value which I believe is 125 Nm. However, I can only start the nut off which maybe half a turn and ...

Hoping all is fine now.
May need to top up to get any trapped air out the system on occasion.

Re: New Coolant Leak
So it turned out to be the thermostat housing and a pipe connecting to it.
Went and collected earlier and so far so good. Of course early days so far and need to give it a good run to be sure.
