Door handles - early facelift
Al, Thanks for the suggestion. I've emailed Grublogger and will await their response. Steve, Thought as much. I'll blow some bubbles down onto the manifolds next weekend and see what blows. Couldn't find them on SNGs website, but will see exactly what has gone before I start chasing some new ones. S...

Door handles - early facelift
I've recently picked up an early facelift 4.0 to add to my collection, and apart from a few small problems so far - seat electrics do weird things when powered up and exhaust manifold blows - the most annoying is that both door locks have gone. I'm guessing that someone tried to break in at some sta...

Alloy wheels - Speedlines and Kents - for sale
I'm almost finished stripping an XJRS and have two sets of alloys to get rid of. One is a set of four 15" Speedlines. Alloys are in average to good condition - little bit of paintwork required in a few (very small) patches. I'm keeping the original sport centre caps, but they will come with a set ma...

1972 Series 1 XJ6 stuck bonnet
I'm hoping that someone has an idea or two that can help me.. I've recently picked up a '72 XJ6, however, after slamming the bonnet shut to get it home, I am now unable to open it again. I pulled on the bonnet release - no response - so I used a pair of pliers gently on the cables, and they both cam...

1989 XJRS stripping
I picked up an 89 5.3 XJRS a few months ago as a parts car. It's currently complete, and the engine turns over but doesn't fire as it has been sitting around for a while.
The TWR bodykit has been removed, and the body is rotten, but if anyone wants any parts, please let me know..
Chris

XJS Forum End of Season Outing 2009
Tony, In that case, I'll be there. The P6B isn't in the greatest of conditions, but as I've only just picked it up, hopefully that'll be excused. I've had P6s and P6Bs for about 16 years now since I was a teenager.. great cars to play with, although I can't wait to get my XJS on the road. Regards, C...

I doubt my XJS will be road-legal by then, but it'll be a good outing for the Rover P6B..

Is that spraycan-based primer that you're using?
What grade paper are you using to rub it down?
After a few hints and tips as I'm about to start doing mine.. only downside is that it's kept outside, so should be fun.

Re: made a start
Interesting angle on getting rid of the door handles, I assume you've checked that it conforms to the requirements of the MOT? I know that the doors have to open from both the inside and outside, I don't know if that includes the use of a remote control. :? I was thinking exactly the same thing. Als...

I might do - depends if I can pry it off the spare bootlid without breaking it.
