4.0 litre 1991 facelift
Ok, so what is acceptable oil consumption? The car has used 750ml over the past 600 miles or so. Should I be worried?

Re: Intention to ban the use of the XK and similar engines in Kit Cars
This is good news indeed. I am delighted that common sense has prevailed and that we were all encouraged through the forum to write to DOT and complain. A great effort by all concerned.

Hmmm pity! That all sounds a bit complicated. It's unfortunate as I've only recently finished replacing both blower motors on my

Re: Rattling sunroof on 2013 Sportbrake
And FINALLY.............it goes in for a full sunroof assembly replacement on Thursday! Parts cost approx £1150 and 5 hours labour. Lets hope it cures the rattle for their sake as it's a warranty item thankfully. I'll report back if it does cure the rattle.

Re: Flat spot? 2013 2.2D 200ps sportbrake
Well, there we have it......at least two other owners noting the same issue. I'm not that quick thinking to remember to put it into sport mode when approaching a junction and most likely will ask the dealers to investigate if software update is available. I've avoided using the car in bad weather an...

Re: Rattling sunroof on 2013 Sportbrake
Dare I say it: possibly built down to a price or poor development and testing in an attempt to get new cars launched quickly? A brief trawl of the various Jaguar social media sites has plenty of issues regarding sunroofs in particular. This really is an own goal for Jaguar as it does lead to poor cu...

Re: 3.4 litre Inlet camshaft wear 1985 XJ6
Mike - thanks. It's still quiet actually. I only noticed it whilst sorting a leaky cam cover gasket. The engine has covered 56000miles and has more new oil in it than Texas. The rest of the engine remains good, excellent compressions and still putting out 165bhp on a rolling road, using no oil or wa...
