I know its not a straight forward swap and will require a bit of work, just weighing up the pro's and...

I assume you have a 3.4 as all 4.2 series 3 were fuel injected.

Re: Fuel being pumped to left tank from right one
Well ive had it on the ramp today to see if i can trace the switch over valve and it seems as if it doesnt have one? Ive traced the pipework from each tank and they run behind rear axle and join into a T piece that then runs to the front of the car. I assume where it is a late series 2 with in tank ...

Fuel being pumped to left tank from right one
Good evening everyone, not sure if this is a strange fault or common but i seem to be loosing fuel from the right tank and it being added to the left tank. My jag is a late series 2 4.2.
Its been fine for a while but i noticed this the other day.
Any help would be apreciated.

Series 2 front scuttle repair
My series 2 is suffering from the usual corrosion around front screen, its not bad or gone through but has surface corrosion under the paint, I know this can be treated to an extent but as with all rust it will eventually start to creep back. I'm having a proper look over the winter as it needs a ne...

Re: Series 2 keeps blowing overdrive fuse
Well I had a brief look again today and found that the solenoid was slightly loose, I tightened it and took for another run and hey presto it worked fine for about 4 miles and then it popped the fuse again.! Ive now removed the solenoid and checked it out, I left the plunger attached to the overdriv...

Series 2 keeps blowing overdrive fuse
Hi Everyone, new to the club and forum. I have a 1978 xj series 2 4.2 manual with overdrive and recently it blew the overdrive/instrument fuse when I was driving back home. I did a basic wiring/switch check and I can get the overdrive solenoid to click when stationary with engine off in 4th but as s...
