Looking around online, it seems that there are two 'versions' of the oversized plate that can fit the rear of the XF (saloon).
I'm assuming it's pre vs post facelift, but does anyone have a definitive answer?

Does anyone know how one would go about removing the gear knob from a manual diesel S Type?
I've bought a nice looking replacement surround and can't seem to fathom how to remove the knob! Attempting to twist it anti-clockwise seems almost impossible to do!
