Re: WANTED-inexpensive 'project' XJ-SC pref 3.6 manual
Thanks for that, I did spot it on ebay but it has to be a 3.6 manual Cabriolet for the project I have in mind. Such a shame to see them in that state though!

Are our cars classics already?
My hubby was filling our 2002 XKR convertible up with Shell when the cashier, who was quite youthful, said "Is that one of those Jaguar XK8's? I used to love those when I was a kid" !!!!!!!!

Better brighter headlamp bulbs for 1998 XK8 - advices pls
Hello one and all, I hope someone out there has tried and tested and has recommendations for really good headlamp bulbs for an XK8. My 1998 coupe has the glow of an XJS! Ie a bit dim... I know there are 'super' bulbs for the XJS but mine never sets foot out in the dark, that's the job for my XK8, ho...

For Sale Cabriolet targa panel bag
I have a spare targa panel bag the the XJ-SC. I bought it for my first Cabrio, but my second Cabrio came with her own so I have a spare one. It is in very good condition, black 'pleather' with greyish-beige carpet front. Paid £100 for it in 1999, offers around this please. Can post but haven't got t...

For Sale, my XJ-SC, aka Toby... £7000 to a good home.
The time has come and I must admit defeat and accept I must sell my beloved XJ-SC. She has lived with me for 7 years, and was cherished by her previous owner for 16 so her low 57k mileage is understandable. This year we've done less than 500miles and I cannot justify keeping such a wonderful animal ...

I called our local Jag dealer for advice and I could hear laughing from the guys in the shop - quote "You don't put a TOWBAR on a SPORTSCAR!" I wanted to tow a small caravan on my convertible just because it would look awesome and attract attention. They also mentioned that the electrics were so spe...

Hi again guys, i think i've figured it out. you know the window forgot to drop? well it had forgotten to drop before the roof went up, so the frame sat on top of the glass, which was enough to not let the header rail seat properly. window fixed. roof dropped and then raised, all super, no problems. ...

convertible roof not sitting properly
Hi again, I think I just jinxed my soft-top-doh. I just pulled her out of the garage to give her a quick wash when i noticed that the header rail wasn't sitting properly on the windscreen top just over the drivers side. No water leaked in. No drips of fluid off the speaker cover this time. No warnin...

Hi all, these posts have made me a bit concerned for my convertible. She has always had a small drip of oil in the header rail speaker, but only after putting the roof back up, it doesn't just drip whenever it likes. Did any of the explosive failures have a drip as a warning sign? Or did they just g...

volcanic ash vs supercharger?
My understanding of a supercharger is that it basically uses jet engine ideas. If this is the case do I need to worry about my XKR now the volcanic ash is allegedly all the way down to ground level now? I know jets get a bit hotter than my blower, but if they're ALL banned from flying shouldn't I be...

Good going mate, she certainly looks the biscuit! I do hope you enjoy her as she was designed and don't leave her languishing in the garage! They are amazing to live with. There are enough Concours ones out there, just let her out of the cage and let her loose. I think you'll find the first stone ch...
