Just wondering if anyone has got rid of the vacuum tank and so simplified the system.
I assume the downside would be no brakes without the engine running - just like a modern car?

Yes I took all the plugs out and the readings for 3 & 4 were zero. I've now finally got round to doing the job and in fact the gasket between 3&4 was completley burnt away.
