Re: Wind Deflector
Thanks MarkX, checked out their website, but it would appear that there’s are different to mine. Will check with Jaguar Heritage to see if they can help.

Wind Deflector
Has anyone come across this type of wind defector? Mine is so worn on the knuckle that with a strong wind it folds down. Need to either get a new one or get this one repaired.

Wheel bolts
I am trying to find a set of new long reach wheel bolts for my 2005 XK8. Everywhere I have looked they are out of stock. Can anyone help with locating them. The correct Jaguar part number may help me too.

Re: Storage of tyres
Checked the age of the tyres and found they are 4016, hence the 40th week of 2016. So they are 9 years old. However, I have checked the walls of the tyres and there are no cracks whatsoever. The tyres still feel supple, but I think they have remained in this condition due to the car only being used ...

Tyres
Some years ago, I needed to buy new rear tyres for my XK8. They had Avon on the front and rear so I thought I would replace them like for like. Unfortunately, I discovered that Avon no longer made 285/30/20 so I had to look for another brand.Having recently had a MOT, I had an advisory that the tyre...

Storage of tyres
I have just replaced my front 255/35/20 tyres to match the rear tyres - now all Dunlop Sport Maxx J - however both the front tyres still had 4mm tread on them on the whole circumference. I need to store them, in case at some stage I need to use them again, but not sure where. I have no space in my g...

Re: Wheel Alignment
Hi Jim, that is something that was suggested by the garage that undertook the wheel alignment. However, the type pressure guide in the centre console of the XK8 indicates the pressure of 20” wheels as 30 psi. That is what I always ensure they are and undertake monthly pressure checks, with them very...

Re: Wheel Alignment
Thanks Brian for your interesting take on this issue. I had new tyres fitted at one place and took the car to another tyre place where they had the equipment to all wheel alignment. Some local garages were only to undertake the front tracking. Bearing in mind there was more wear on the rear inner an...

Wheel Alignment
Having had an MOT on my car recently, it was indicated as an advisory that my two rear tyres were wearing on the outside edges. 2.70 and 2.80. Centre measurements were 4.30 on both tyres and inside edge were 3.00. As I am going to undertake a number of miles this year, I decided to change them and b...

Rear Differential Oil Change
I had read that the rear diff’ oil should be changed around 80,000 miles, I contacted E P Heritage nr Maldon, Essex and asked them if they could do it on my 2005 XK8 Convertible (82k miles). They hadn’t done this procedure before but was happy to undertake it. There has been an article in the Jaguar...

Re: Fault Codes
Hi Mike, I also messaged the Service Manager at my local Jaguar franchise dealer. I had sent him your original explanation and he wrote back saying, " The two 'U' codes are modules talking to each other. The others are most likely to be what JEC have said. Not too much to worry about." The car is in...

Re: Fault Codes
Thanks Mike, for some reason they won’t clear, which I have to assume means there is still an issue. One of the things I have read about is that a low battery may cause issues. Checking my battery voltage with the engine off, is showing 12.3v. Could this be the reason?
