Three XJs-S in the scrapper today...
Same here, I occasionally take the cat to work and it always attracts favourable comments from work colleagues of all ages. The XJS is unique in both design and expectations, a real one-off with classic looks.

Three XJs-S in the scrapper today...
An interesting Blog this one..About 37 years ago (Yes I am old) I ran a 1964 3.4 "S Type" for a short while, I think I paid around £180 for it at the time. My then boss thought very little of this model saying "They smash them up on The Sweeney every week, that shows how little they are worth" Of co...

Past Jag's
My current prize is my XJS, however having been around a while, I have sampled a few other Jaguar models in the past. My first Jaguar was a 1964 3.4 MKII CFS 867B I purchased the vehicle in 1972 when I was just 20yrs old. I bought it from a dealer on Shooters Hill, Blackheath, near to where the Lond...

A recommendation
I know this is going to sound like an advertisment, but I assure you I am just a satisfied customer.... "Clarkes Jaguar" based near Heathfield in East Sussex specialise in the XJ-S / XJS and and have been in business many years. They do have their own web site. www.clarkesjaguar.co.uk which gives de...

Servicing in Kent & Sussex
Can anyone recomend a first rate Jaguar XJS specialist where I can reliably take my beloved for servicing in Kent or Sussex. Unfortunately, due to health reasons I am unable to do this myself. It must use genuine Jaguar parts etc. Thanks peeps.

Celebration
Thanks for the responses so far guys, it is much appreciated. I have been a jaguar fan since my late teens, (I am now 57) hence nelson1952. In the early days me and my mate would spend weekends showing off in his 1964 'E' Type 3.8, I also had the fortune to borrow F.O.C. a 4.2 'E'Type for the weeken...

Celebration
I am a relative novice with regards to the XJS, in particular to the 4.0 Celebration. I understand that it shares the same underpinnings as the Aston Martin DB7 ? Also is it the case that the wiring loom was upgraded and if so can anyone advise of any other improvements or otherwise that were made. ...
ABS Light
Hello all. I own a 1995 4.0 Celebration. This morning on a short return journey home I noticed the ABS warning light was illuminated, as I didnt have far to go and the car was otherwise driving normally I carried on home. Upon arriving I stopped the engine then turned the ignition back on, the ABS l...

Whats so wrong with the XJS
I have had the pleasure of owning many different Jaguar models. This year following remission from cancer I decided to treat myself to an XJS Celebration 4.0 Auto. The car is wonderful and has given me much pleasure. This latest (and last) incarnation of the XJS is without doubt the best put togethe...

heater issues
My thanks to all. I now believe I have located the main source of the problem following discussions with Clarkes Jaguar in East Sussex. The problem appears to be caused by non reacting flaps within the facial air vents, these are supposed to close when the heating is on and the A/C off and mine do n...

My thanks to all for your input. Further investigation revealed that the culprit was a shiny A/C belt impersonating the bird.

heater issues
I have a 1996 Celebration AJ16 4.0 which has one of the laziest heaters I have ever come across. Starting from cold, I wait till the gauge shows "NORMAL" then when turning the climate control and face vent to warm, receive cold air from the facial vents, despite setting the controls to HOT. This con...
