fuel pump won't stop ticking
Hi All, The other day I noticed that the fuel pump kept ticking when the ignition was on but the engine was not running. Having read a similar topic on this board I took the pump to pieces to see if there was any dirt in the valves. The pump is an AUF 303. I noticed that the plastic piece on the inl...

Re: Clutch hydraulic problem
Hi all, Thanks for the replies. I think the slave cylinder is the earlier type as it has the return spring on the outside of the cylinder body. I must admit I didn't make sure the cylinder was clamped in the retracted position before bleeding. Also the hydraulic pipe enters at the top of the slave c...

Re: Clutch hydraulic problem
Hi, is getting the air out of the clutch hydraulic system a known problem? I've recently replaced the master and slave seals and bled the system but the clutch still does not disengage properly. Pumping the pedal makes crunchless gear change possible. I've been pondering trying to reverse bleed ie v...

Re-colour ambla seats
Hi Does anyone know if this is possible? I've seen dyes etc. for leather seats but was wondering if this could also be done successfully to Ambla. Any recommendations or otherwise for products would be welcome.
Cheers.
Cheers.

Re: anti theft devices
Flame thrower, excellent, like it! Probably couldn't afford the fuel for that and the car though. Back in the early '90s I had a Morris Minor and I can remember a device for sale at shows that you could mount behind a panel which immobilised the ignition. You deactivated it by swiping a magnet acros...

anti theft devices
Hi All, does anyone have any opinions on any anti theft devices, e.g. wheelclamps, immobilisers, secret electrical isolator switches etc.

oil filter seals
Can anyone advise where exactly the rubber seals that come with new filter elements should sit. I've re-assembled my downard pointing oil filter but it now leaks from the top so I've obviously done something wrong!

Re: paint code location
Thanks for the replies. I couldn't see any info relating to the paint colour on the plate on the inner wing, and if there weren't paint codes as such back then that explains why I've not been able to find one. I've seen info on the web that suggests Imperial Maroon was twinned with a red interior bu...

paint code location
Apologies for my ignorance, I've only had my jag. for 3 months but... Where do I find the paint code on my 1963 3.4 mk2? I believe it is imperial maroon but I would like to be sure.
