I'll be honest I don't really like the more modern colour scemes i.e the cream/tan dash top rolls etc..I much prefer the black trim.

Latest copy of classic and sports car has a test of a 4.2 Daimler coupe

Heres another one that winds me up :) Good mpg, why is it that sellers insist their jags do 30mpg? When I had my 3.4 the best mpg I ever got was 18. No matter how I drove it that was the best I could do. Yet the guy I sold it to was going around saying how it was doin 27 to the gallon!! lets be hone...

The other thing that gets me is the amount of ‘rare’ Jags for sale. I even saw a 3.2s advertised as rare!

I’ve got to say I love the xj40 too, I think it is an underrated car and is definitely a bargain car to buy. If it wasn’t for the stupendously high road tax here in Eire I would go for a 4.0 s. I love the overall styling of the series 3 cars but dynamically the xj40 is streets ahead.

What you doin with the wheels? New ones or refirbing originals.
