Re: XK 2011 knocking on full lock
Have a look at the power steering fluid level. Had similar on my previous 4.2 XK which had a slight leak. When the fluid dropped below a given level the steering would "judder" (for want of a better description) on full lock.

Re: Carcoons
I store my XJS in the outdoor version of the Cartoon. There are 2 fans which circulate air around the Carcoon which inflate it something like a bouncy castle. The car doesn't suffer from any condensation and the level of air circulation can be adjusted. Car should be dry before bagging it up. If dam...

Re: After 28 years asleep ........................
Many thanks for your very kind comments gents but please be aware that my "hands on" involvement in recommissioning sleeping beauty was minimal. Unfortunately, at present, I do not have a workshop/garage space to carry out such work. All the dirty bits were sorted by my local tame Jag Indie - Mister...

Re: 2007 XKR Front bumper replacement
Many thanks mike020150 & Jhdee, I appreciate your help and advice. Dear Jhdee, I'd definitely be interested in your 2010 front bumper assembly. Would it be possible to send me some photographs and idea of cost. I'd be happy to collect. Please send any details to my email address : nickmurphy1@aol.c...

After 28 years asleep ........................
...............sleeping beauty has awoken. Back on the road and running rather sweetly - couldn't be happier. She'll be home by the end of this week after over a year tinkering  :D https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4323/35309781924_54d8131c49_z.jpg XJS 1 by John Davies , on Flickr https://farm5....

Re: 2007 XKR Front bumper replacement
There is an interim bumper available on 2010 models only which has the vertical chrome vents. If you go for 2011 or newer then there are major changes due to the LED headlights. This involves changes to the wings and hence is very expensive but once again is possible. However, I have heard of proble...

Re: Hello from South Wales
First of all - apologies to dme123 for not replying - missed your post for some reason. To answer - yes i am using a Jaguar indie known as Mister Matic in Swansea. I've used him for many years now and can fully recommend his service. Back to the reason for posting - getting quite excited now - the o...

Re: lets have our own BREAKFAST meet ??
Is there a breakfast meeting at the AV8 this Saturday - 27 Aug
Would like to attend if possible - have recently joined the JEC. I have an XJS but its not quite ready for the road yet so would plan to attend in the XKR - if that's OK with the club members.

Hello from South Wales
Just joined up as I am now in the process of putting my XJ-S back on the road. Its a pre-HE 1980 model in Signal Red with black interior. Its done a genuine 43,000 miles but hasn't been used for a number of years. Fortunately, its not suffered with the usual rust and is totally original. Has the unu...
