I'm hoping there may be a very simple answer to my problem, please excuse my ignorance, but I'm having great difficulty in locking my rear doors on my 1964 2.4 Mk2. I can push the handles internally but the doors simply will not lock.

Thanks for that, you have answered a lot of my doubts.

I am considering changing the headlining on my 1964 MK2, I would be very grateful of any advice from fellow members that may have achieved this daunting task, like I say any helpful advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for your help it turns out that one of the electrical connections on the rear of the cam shaft had snapped , so I simply soldered a new one and the Rev counter now works a treat.
