Front Offside Fog Light Replacement
I need to replace the front fog light, off side, after it and the surrounding plastic cover were damaged when I hit an obstacle in the road. It is true I don’t use them much but for the looks want to replace it. The fog light has 4 screws which need to be tightened from behind and look a devil of a ...

I took the car to Jaguar Racing Green Cars in Ash Vale with the full intention of changing shock absorbers, They firstly used a sophisticated balance machine (Hunter 5700) which could also tell if tyres were faulty by measuring variations in road force. The found that the OSR wheel had 100 gms too m...

What you describe sounds plausible. I had a feeling that the wheels were vibrating in the vertical plane and had wondered if the wheels were out of circle but thought if this were the case then I would have had vibration to a lesser degree at lower speeds. Vibration through car at high speeds > 70mph
I have a Jaguar S type 2.7 diesel registered in January 2006 It runs sweetly and quietly up to about 70mph but beyond that the car starts to vibrate. The steering wheel does not oscillate like it can when wheels are out of balance but you can feel vibration in the steering wheel, as you can through ...
2.7 Diesel Engine Auxilary Heater
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try switching off the climate control at start up.
I must admit that I see it only as a slight inconvenience now that I understand the cause. The car is so trouble free that I can put up with this.
Thanks

Engine
The other day I had a lot of fumes coming out from under the engine bay at the near side front that lasted possibly 5 to 10 seconds. It was so much that I initially though the engine was on fire or a radiator hose had burst. The weather was cold. It was not burning oil nor petrol fumes and the vapou...

Series 2 1979 Rear Seat Belts
Does anyone know if rear seat belts (3 point) can be fitted to a Jaguar XJ6 4.2L Series 2 1979 model. There are currently none and I don’t know if the structural attachment points were already included at that age in case it was an optional extra. If they can be fitted do you know what is involved. ...
