If you decide to take the time to come down to Clarkes, it is also worth going to see Arun cars who are in a similar neck of the woods and also have a reasonable selection of XJS - my experience of both of them is try and go on a weekday - Arun can get busy on a weekend.

PaulE Sorry for delay in replying to you. I think you are right, but they can be taken off the window, which is how I got my lugs - here is a photo showing more detail than the one in my earlier post. You can see the residue of the glue used to attach the lugs to the original window - this comes off...

Note that if you don't have the rear screen with mounting brackets you will need to get these as well and I couldn't see these on the JCP site.

After 5 happy years I am selling my XJS :( - I have posted it in the JEC classifieds and it will go elsewhere next week. Hoping it will go to a good home - it has been well cared for and kept garaged, with any bodywork issues attended to promptly. Lots of paperwork, etc. I had F & R parking sensors ...

I've sent the office an email, but I think I have it sorted - the photos need to be 640 x 480 ratio, not widescreen 768 x 432. Will suggest that the site could have some useful guidelines to help in this area.

OK - feeling a bit stupid now - the garage tightened the fan belt and removed, cleaned & replaced all the earth connections and everything works fine now. I had just checked they weren't loose or obviously corroded. Lesson learnt!
