New Purchase
IMG_0735 (1).jpg Have been looking for some time for a replacement for my 20 year old X308 - 124,000m in superb nick but time to upgrade. Would it be an XK or an X350. X350 was more practical and fitted into my budget much better. Have aquired a beautiful Metalic Blue 2006 4.2 SE having only had 3 ...

oil pressure gauge
I have a similar problem in that when I start my XJS the oil pressure guage goes to 3/4 and stayes there without moving up or down. I have renewed the sensor and noticed that the previous owner had rewired to the guage with a new wire. I have yet to investigate and check to see if the new wiring is ...

Security System
My 1992 XJS Coupe facelift has the Jaguar XJS 1992 Security System fitted. It has worked perfectly well until recently when the remote transmitter (key fob control) stopped working. Naturally I thought that the battery had gone but it shows 12.19 volts and I also have a second remote that has good b...
tow bars!
Hi puffdaddy
I got my toebar for my 1992 facelift XJS from PCT Holbrook Ind Est Sheffied S20 3GH. Tel No. 0845 123 1111.
Their number for it was TJG3180 and is made for 75-93 models.
They were the only people I found who made a towbar for XJS.

Paul did an excellent job on my XJS - quality of work and price would be hard to beat and I would heartily recommend Leather Revive to anyone

What Sat Nav do you use?
I used TomTom on my Dell PDA for 3 years and last year purchased a TomTom 510 after a week with a Road Angel (I was advised this was the greatest). Fortunately the company I bought the little angel from were happy to exchange it for a proper Satnav that didn't get confused like the angel d...
Wheels
I've been bringing my 1992 facelift XJS up to scratch over the past year. Have just had the front seats revived by Paul Gaskin of Leather Revive and a marvellous job he has done. www.leatherrevive.co.uk I am now looking to get the wheels which are 235/60 R15 either renovated or replaced. Servicing - who to recommend in the RH2/CR0 area
Have used Surrey Jag Centre recently for 7500 service. They checked my 4.0 thoroughly, produced a very comprehensive list of minor & major items for attention then discussed at length what I could do and what I required them to do. Superb service and workmanship and reasonably priced. Can highly rec...

Aircon Service
Hi Guys, Since last writing I've had my system checked out by Aircon Direct. Fabulous service from a very experienced engineer. Fortunately all is well and I'm still on R12. The only issue is that there is little cold air coming through the centre vents. Plenty through the lower vents and the ...

Driver's seat
I have been experiencing an unusual intermittent problem with the driver's seat in my XJS. Every now and again it decides to "automatically" adjust the back of the seat down to a laying position. This as you can imaging is a little disheartening whilst licking down the motorway at a rapid rate of kn...

Air Con service/top up
Having purchased my 1991 XJS last November I have been dealing with a few minor issues over past months. Tha aircon in my car seems to work OK and I have noticed that if I put it on 'manual mode' it seems to get slightly cooler. (At my age hot flushes are an issue). I would like to get the air con c...

Auto gearbox upchange
Since posting my query I've had the filter and fluid changed in the auto box and this has helped. Whilst cold the upchange from 1st to 2nd is slightly noticeable but once warmed up it is resonably smooth. I don't think that the auto box fluid or the rear axle fluid have been changed since new so hav...
