Re: Flashing lights on J gate
Had similar problems with dash lights in all combinations when I have left mine in the garage for a long period too  and it was connected to a trickle charger. As Mike says, get some miles on it and see if it clears, once I started using mine again it took around a week to get rid of oddball ...

Re: Fuel filter
Couple of pics of the fuel filter cut in half, looks a bit choked........but not so much it wouldn't run....probably a question of when it would start causing problems.

Re: Fuel filter
Bit of a thread resurrection ! :D Hope this helps someone. Just changed my filter today, the old Mann filter was installed in 2006 according to the date stamp.... 2002 X100. Best place for access is the car is reversed up onto a set of ramps, the filter is on the nearside just forward of the...

Re: XK8 problems and Jag Spares NE
Hello Chaps Reading your posts has caused me to feel quite stupid, and full of admiration for your ability to utilise current technology. I own a 2002 xk8 that seems to drive well, but on average does only 21 m.p.g . I have noticed that on start up, as the engine gets warmer, more steam emanates fr...

Hi Mike Interesting that regarding the voltage... "The reason I had to change a post cat sensor on the near side was because PTJS1 and I found it flatlining. Normally they run at around 0.7V." My "new" version, one size fits all  actually showed 0.74 v (bank 1) and the other bank, which are fa...

Re: 2001 reg. XK8 Headlights
Like Mike K I went down the route of Nightbreakers and in the two years I have had them in there have been no problems and the light output is still fantastic....compared with the standard stuff. There is a thread on this part of the forum where I posed the same question re the original lights and i...

Re: Road Tax
There is a DLVA checker website, put in the reg and the info from the V5 registration document and it should confirm the cost. https://www.gov.uk/get-vehicle-information-from-dvla Unfortunately the cost is not available directly from this website. Had this problem before because you need the 11 dig...
