Re: Marelli cap
Thanks to all for your replies.
Last time I replaced the cap and rotor (18months ago) I obtained Marelli rotor arm but the cap (supplied by British parts) was manufactured by Intermotor.
How frequently in terms of mileage would you recommend replacement?

Re: Marelli cap

Re: Heater water valve. leak
Thanks to all for taking the time to reply (Both Pauls and XJR-S) I initially placed an order for C41051 (heater water valve) from British car parts whom have given good service previously. Subsequently I was informed that they no longer sold the part. I had the heater hoses on order from Jaguar her...

Re: Heater water valve. leak
Hi Paul, thanks for taking the time to reply. I've taken your advice and left temp turned up slightly to keep the heater water valve open to stop water loss while obtaining parts. C41051 seems to be no longer available from Jaguar UK, so oem or pattern part needed. Will certainly take your advice an...

Re: Replacement A/C unit
Yes I have spotted this as I am trying to a an air conditioning compressor (Sanden) or equivalent for 1993 facelift V12.
Wasn't impressed by the prices quoted.
I realise they're in business to make a profit but frankly amazed at prices

Re: Under bonnet insulation pad
I have used sound insulation from Dynamat on other cars I have owned, it was very effective at reducing sound levels.

hello from Lancs
Bought my 93 6.0 XJS in Oct 2014.
Joined JEC shortly afterwards, enjoyed driving 8000 miles in my XJS since I bought it.
Just wanted to say hello.
Also wanted to ask for recommendations for independent garages in Lancashire for servicing / repairs of the V12
