Re: Window Trim refurbishment.
The info I have located is the colour is Dorchester Grey 342 / LDP. It is available from Jaguar Dealers in small touch-up bottles with application brush (about £10 - £12) or you should get it in aerosol cans or premixed in cans. By the way, the same colour is also used for the two door mirror bracke...

Re: Window Trim refurbishment.
The most common trim colour for the outer trim around all windows, screens is called Jaguar Dorchester Gray. I will try to find the colour code, which I have somewhere, and come back with this info - hopefully.

Re: XK Special in Jaguar World
Its a great issue of the magazine - full of history and stories. That's apart from the appraisals of the four X100 models (2xXK8 and 2xXKR). I am the blue car on the front page - I remember the photoshoot well in late April. I was away in the Alps when the issue appeared but managed to get my copy f...

XK8 ... the 'New Classic' per Jaguar Heritage
I went to the NEC Classic Motor Show yesterday and visited, among many others, the Jaguar Heritage stand. Shown there were the models handled by the new Jaguar Heritage organisation. The prototype of the 'new' Lightweight E-Type, of which only six will be built, took top place on the stand. Also sho...

Re: catalytic converter
Would have liked to help Wullie - mine is also a MY2000, 120k miles on now, but I have never had a problem with the cats and so have never looked into this.
Hope, someone will be along soon with some answers.

Re: Nuts!
Painter,
Jaguar supplied the original security wheel nuts with caps.
I checked my Jaguar Parts List and that shows a security wheel nut kit, containing 4 nuts but does not show any caps.
In a case like this I would contact my main dealer to find out if any caps are available seperately.

Re: Aerial
I also had a similar problem and had replaced the aerial mast (some years ago). I found that on my annual Bavaria trips the somewhat 'swifter Autobahn drives' caused the top of the aerial to bend backwards until these top sections would not extend out after a while. The aerial now only shows two sec...

Re: Boot trim
Hi Can anybody help me, I have a 53 Coupe, and I am in the process of a rolling restoration, the carpeted trim panel in the boot that covers the fuel tank has bowed and falls down into the boot. I suspect that there should be a panel to hold it in place that would fit inside the boot underneath the...

Re: Wheel 'Extended Locaters ' to assiat in refitting wheels
Brake Buster, It makes a hell of a difference even so you are doing the same thing. The main point is, you lift the wheels close to your body, rather than lift and than move them onto the wheel hub by extending your arms, than try to align the holes - phew, my back hurts only writing about it ...
