Just wondering if anyone had a carnival red wing mirror cover for a 1997 X300, left hand side.
Extremely happy to pay for the part plus postage, just finding it hard to find one.

naki, if you don't mind my asking, what is the quote you have been given for repainting the roof and bonnet? I need my roof and boot repainted, so an idea from you would be great

Re: Fixing a sunroof
Right! I bucked my ideas up, replaced the module as instructed, and the sunroof still doesn't work! Unless anyone has any other ideas, I'll probably leave it until I next see my specialist and get him to diagnose it.
Thanks to everyone for the help

Re: Fixing a sunroof
I'm sorry to be so annoying, but I don't see any clips at all to unclip from the module: the white wire cartridges come out easy enough, but then the module will not move, and has no clips that I can see or feel: the left hand side pokes out, but it is right up against the roof, and the right hand s...

Re: Fixing a sunroof
I'm fairly sure I am, yes. I dont think I can reach the module without dropping the headlining, is this as easy as unscrewing the sun visor? I tried to follow the technical bulletins, but will try again tonight with my uncle (who knows a bit about these things!) Thanks for your continued support DIG...

Re: Fixing a sunroof
Right, tried to install my new module, but didn't know what to do with the headlining to give me access to the old one, so I just messed around for a bit, and have created this video to aid diagnosis:

Just seen this on Car and Classic, no service history, but thought I would post it anyway in case anyone was unaware of it

Fixing a sunroof
Can I please have some help diagnosing what is wrong with my sunroof? It will tilt upwards, but will not slide back at all: my understanding is that either the motors have given up, or the mechanism needs a clean. Is it more likely to be one than the other? Also, what is the right tool to remove the...

pjb1969
I bought a custom system from pjb1969 which he got from a car he was breaking.
Glorious sound, decent price and he fitted for me: it's bleeding marvellous!

Re: DIY Improvement to Performance & Economy of AJ16 Engines
I've had the mod since January this year: does exactly what Andy says, adds power and has increased my MPG by a bit at the same time, would certainly recommend.

Stainless Sports Exhaust
I'm looking to get a new exhaust for my 1997 3.2 sport manual, and there don't seem to be any options available, so I wondered whether anyone had any experience/information for me? I'm looking to keep the quiet nature of the car while cruising, but for a proper sound while pressing on, s a "noisy ex...

Re: XJR manual
sorry for my confusing post!, must have been the 8 hour run home yesterday in a 1970's TR6 that scrambled my brain, my hearing is still suffering!!, my fillings are loose, and I'm sure a bit of p**h even came out at one point when an artic pulled out in front of me on the A1/M1, clearly not used to...
